Two years ago, I've been crying a lot when my Inse, my second mother, died with cancer. I was there at her last breath. The pain of losing her, the thought of not seeing and talking to her forever kills me that very moment. But, I know, I can't be that selfish and have to let her go. She is in a better place now. And I super miss her today, and I can't help but cry while saying a prayer for her.

We will be listening to an online discussion regarding life insurance rates and medical insurance tonight. Thanks to technology! The discussion will be at home in Bilar, and we can actively participate even if we are at the other part of the world! This has been a long over due family project (and most important) and we have to get one for our parents ASAP.

it's a tiring Monday. I woke up at 7AM and been awake til now. Chy's new school is just 2 (or 3) blocks away, and as expected, she survived her first day of class. She's friendly, and she has no problem mingling with new classmates in school. If only we could be children forever... life will not be complicated. Life will be as simple as A-B-C, with no life insurance leads to think, a job to take, or a big responsibility to attend.
Life maybe complicated.. but, life is short too. So, let's not waste our time worrying so much and waste our borrowed time.
I am so sleepy now. Got to go to dreamland!

I super love the song. Especially Rico Blanco's duet with Sarah in ASAP. But, they did not sing the whole song though...
Thanks B for sharing! :)
Tell me something When the rain falls on my face How do you quickly replace It with A golden summer smile?
Tell me something When I'm feelin' tired and afraid How do you know just what to say To make Everything alright?
Chorus: I don't think that you even realize The joy you make me feel when I'm inside Your universe You hold me like I'm the one who's precious I hate to break it to you but it's just The other way around You can thank your stars all you want but I'll always be the lucky one
Tell me something When I'm 'bout to lose control How do you patiently hold My hand And gently calm me down?
Tell me something When you sing and when you laugh Why do I always photograph My heart Flyin way above the clouds?
We are now in our new house in Jurong East, but, not yet totally settled. There are still lots of things to be arranged, and many clothes to iron. The new place is smaller than the one in Woodlands, but, it's more cozy and homey here. And I love the kitchen part, especially the 3-door ref! Maybe this would encourage me in experimenting in cooking. Ngeek, goodluck! Ate Yen also loves the kitchen, something we both agreed. That probably has something to do with our ancestry dna , loving the kitchen, but not cooking. LOL!
Did I mention that hawker is just few steps away from our new house? (like around 20 steps or less.) Hehehe.

- drinking my cup of coffee everyday (and with matching kaya toast sometimes)
- being surrounded with positive people
- having a great, great, great family
- being blessed with true friends for life (there are lots of fake people in this world, you know)
- being able to conquer my weaknesses
- Kris Allen being on the top 2. Hehehe.
- and her daily hugs and kisses and our witty (and non-witty) conversations.
I may sound so mababaw, and I may not have those key man insurance those rich people have, but these simple things made me happy and smile. This list could go on and on coz I actually still have lots to be thankful and happy about. Indeed, the best things in life are free. :)

I just realized a lot of things lately... especially when I am on those long rides. This life is indeed too short to be sad and to be angry and to allow bad experiences cripple you for life. I bumped this excerpt (Excerpt from the Speech given by Chetan Bhagat at Symbiosis) from Ate Yen's blog and I love, love, love the message:
Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same with life, where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.
One thing about nurturing the spark - don’t take life seriously. Life is not to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? It’s ok, bunk a few classes, goof up a few interviews, fall in love. We are people, not programmed devices.
“Don’t be serious, be sincere.”
The message says it all. Before I get too emo, have to do my laundry now and empty the laundry hamper. OCness strikes!

i miss hip-hop dancing. it was something I really enjoyed doing during my gym sessions before. Everytime my "katamaran" strikes, it's the thought of dancing that could push me in going to the gym.
There are some things that I really would have wanted to do during my early years in my life... like playing a musical instrument. Taking some piano lessons may be late now, so, I am hoping that one of my future children would love dancing and singing, or anything that has something to do with music. Talking about unfulfilled dreams. Hehehe.
Well, atleast Chy loves to sing and dance. :)

and I love the weather today more than yesterday. I just finished watching one episode of Gossip Girl and I consider that as a treat. I actually have bunch of movies to watch in my flash memory drives, but, I don't have the luxury of time to watch them all yet.
Guess everyone is saying TGIF! Enjoy the weekend ahead!
PS. Ate Yen and Chy are now speaking like those real SG locals. Hahahah! Can, lah! :D

Ate Yen said that my blog is getting boring. Well, I totally agree. I can't seem to finish everything that I need to do in a day(that includes blogging)... seems that time ticks fast at this side of the world. Tsk.
So, before it gets more boring than it is now, i'll share to you some pix I took these past days.
fashionistah...
during the Oreo commercial shoot. :)
at Bukit Batok church.... At the center is the over flowing holy water. I love the church there... so, solemn, so organize. (well, most of the churches here in SG actually).
More pix soon! Tata!

That is sleeping and waking up way too early than what I am used to. It feels great by the way, and not to mention, feels healthy especially that I am going out early in the morning and have my daily dosage of walking. Hehehe. If only I have the luxury of time, I am probably doing some jogging too. In this side of the world, who needs weight loss pills? I just need to keep this kind of schedule as much as possible. :)
