speaking from my heart
I always watch TV patrol, but honestly, I seldom listen intently to the news, especially when the subject is about the bombing/war in Mindanao. It has been going on for years, so what's new? That's probably why I am not interested to listen anymore. But last night was different. This headline stopped me from doing anything else:
UN suspends food missions in Mindanao .
The UN World Food Program prompted to temporarily stop the distribution of food to the evacuees because of the recent deadly bomb attacks. Then, a scene of scared people were flashed on the screen, looking for a safe place to hide. That scene broke my heart. I can't imagine especially the children, growing up with that kind of environment, getting hungry, and always scared. Is our country this hopeless? I don't want to think so.
And for the first time, I really seriously prayed for World Peace.
