Healthy Life

I enjoyed my weekend in Manila and attended the graduation of our sweet princess, Chy. Yup, she wants to be a princess, that's why, she always wants to wear a dress and sandals with heels. I just had a blast, and I will post some pictures here soon, or, you can check my Friendster account, that is, if we are friends there. :)

Usually, going to Manila for me means, shopping and hanging out with friends and family outside. But, this time, me and my sis had an early morning jogging and dance exercise at the Fort. It's a really nice experience. I never thought that I will do that in Manila. I am so proud of myself that I was able to move my butt at a very early hour. It's a nice feeling to be fit and healthy really. In our generation today, people easily get sick, so we have strive to prevent any undesirable sickness. My Uncle's mother died at the age of 101, and in our generation right now, I doubt if someone can still live with that age. With right exercise and nutrition, maybe, we can still achieve that. There's even this U.S. Lab Tested Resveratrol that helps prolong life and has a potential help combat cancer, viral infections, and the effects of diabetes as well as Alzheimer's and athritis.

I am really trying my best now to eat healthy and live healthy. And hope, you too. :)

My Model

Those are Chy's pix that I took while she gamely gave her best pose. She just love to pose in the camera and we were really laughing since some of her poses were really outrageous! More of her pix can be found here: memorybits.multiply.com

Hotta Hotta!

Summer is definitely here. It was reported that the temperature reaches to 35 degrees and it will still go up as high as 38 degrees next month. I am not sure if I can still stand the heat in my room without an aircon, though the electric fan is very much helpful. If only I can install the big fan in my room, the one with a 24-foot diameter ceiling fans that are usually installed in public places, maybe, it will help much. Hehe. Now, that can be a very good option if my landlady will not allow an aircon.

Today...

Today is a little bit gloomy for me. Maybe because, my partner is not here. Maybe because, I am still in the adjustment period of my work schedule. Maybe because, I simply don't feel good at all. My mind was atleast entertained for awhile when I was convinced to do something that I never thought I will be doing. It helps a little bit. And now, my body is tired, and I am so sleepy. The tables now look like one of those platform beds to me.

Well, good night everyone. And hope your day is not as gloomy as mine.

Future... Future...

With my age right now, I should have a life insurance like what PruLife and AXA are offering. As much as I wanted it at the moment, but, I think I still need to work hard for that, and probably prioritize things. It would be very sad to imagine me getting old, and broke. So, to those people with money in the bank "sleeping", and no life insurance yet, ( don't really know the exact term) you may want to consider getting one. I suggest you will have someone knowledgeable this matter to you.We already had 2 different discussions here in the office from PruLife and AXA staffs. We never know what the future brings, so get a life insurance, a health insurance, or a car insurance perhaps if you have a car. :)

Only In The Philippines!

Nothing compares Philippine politics. Even if the National Election is still 2 years away, there’s already a big buzz on who’s who, and even some politicians are starting to do their campaigns in a discrete manner. Sometimes, when I imagine all the money they spent on campaign materials like posters, marketing pens, lighter, and all other marketing materials, I just get furious. Some politicians are using our money! And even buy your vote with your own money! Can politics be cleaner this time? Or, is it just too hopeless?

Maybe as old as Audrey Hepburn’s movies? Hehehe. Joke! Ok, maybe a poster from a 3 year-old movie will do. I never seen a store selling this kind of stuffs yet.Maybe a good business idea? Hehehe.

Chy is Graduating!

Chy will be graduating this coming Friday and I will be flying to Manila to attend her graduation. Hehehe. I was thinking for a unique gift for her, since she told me that she's been a very good girl and she did well in class. We don't really push her to study hard, and get serious. We just let her do what she loves to do, and amazingly, she really love to study. Sometimes, she don't talk to me over the phone because she is studying... Hahahah!! She's really cute especially when she used "po" and "opo" in our conversation. I was thinking of a mini trampoline as her gift, but, when I asked her what she wants, she simply told me "Mommy, I want a pink yoyo! yung may tali!" Cuteness!

It's A Woman Thing

Men will never fully understand what we have to go through everytime we have a monthly period. Aside from the uneasiness that we feel, the abdominal pain is unbearable sometimes, though not all women experience that. Because menstruation has something to do with the hormonal cycle, there are also emotional side-effects... tiredness, weepiness, and mood swings. And why I am talking about menstruation? Because I have one right now. And I am tired. I feel like crying. And I am in a bad mood. I am going home now, and watch tv, and dvd, and sleep.

And oh, I need a tv mount.

A Little Trivia About Me

When I was still in my 5th grade, I was a representative in my school for an inter-school Spelling Contest in the whole town. I was literally alone, with no chaperone or a coach when I joined the contest, and it was held on another school and it was held live, and on stage! Can you just imagine how "scary" it is for me, at a very young age? But, guess what, I got the 1st place! And I received cash and one of those engraved plaques, and of course a warm congratulation from people I didn't know. My classmates and teachers were so proud of me and of course my family too! I remember that my Auntie was furious with the school Principal for not sending someone who can chaperone me in the contest! Hehehe. Awwww... I miss my Aunt.

Just reminiscing those good old times:)

Tom and Katie and Their $35M Home

That's the headline of the OK magazine, February issue (can’t wait for March issue). Can you just imagine a $35M home? Sheez, that amount can already build thousands of houses in the Philippines! Hahaha!! This mansion is said to be in LA and the interiors are great. I love their furniture that has a Kravet fabrics look and feel. Don't you just wish that you will have a chance to glimpse this house? Hehehe.

And by the way, I love Katie's look now. (see image below) She has grown into a sophisticated woman ever since she married Tom. :)

Time To Slow Down

Holy week is next week already and I want to prepare for that week. I want to just be silent, be peaceful with myself, and be on a reflective mood. I don't want to worry on anything, and I don't want to think of work either. Lately, it's been work, work and work that's occupying my day and all those negative things that always bring me down.

I just want to slow down really, go to the beach probably or stay in my room and watch DVD. Which reminds me to buy or download clear copies (with good subtitling job done ) of DVDs already. And of course, the most important is be alone with my God.

Gym Notes

Don't go to the gym when you are hungry. Make sure that your sugar level is ok, and you are in your most healthy disposition. These are the things that I learned during my one year visit to the gym last year. I can still remember when I almost passed out after I tried the ellipticals trainer and that's because I haven't eaten any breakfast yet. The gym assistant then gave me a yummy chocolate for my sugar level to increase. Hehehe.

Man In The House

In our family, my father is the only man in the house. So, unlucky for him, he has to do all the man's task, like when the kitchen faucets are broken, or we need a driver, or we need someone to lift a heavy equipment. But, of course, he is also lucky in the sense that he has nothing to do in terms of woman's task like cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning the house.

Multi Lingual Application

If you want to target a wider market on whatever application you want to launch, the best way to do it is make it multi-lingual. That's the trend of the marketing world nowadays. Before, manuals are just in one language (usually, in English only), but, now, you will find a thick book in your newly bought appliance and that's because it includes several languages. And with online application, one example is the famous Blogger, which is available in different languages already. And yeah, I heard that they are in Tagalog/Filipino too!

I have also read an article regarding backgammon masters that they are already in 14 different languages like French, Japanese, English, Greek, Arabic to name a few. Now, that's cool! I also wonder when they will make a Filipino version of it, too! In addition to that, players can use the currency of their choice, and the system will automatically convert it to USD at the best exchange rate. And if you are struggling with the backgammon game , a Live Customer support is available to support you with just one click of a button. Though this feature is launched with support available in English, they already have plans in making their customer support multi-lingual too!

I am really impressed with products like these. They sure know how to make a customer happy.

Struggle

As I am browsing and reading some of the blogs today, I noticed that most of them talked about sadness and pain, though some are very inspiring too. Sometimes, it's just difficult to see the light when you are in the darkest and it's difficult to see an inch of inspiration when your are hopeless. Life is a constant struggle. We may not always understand it, but, there's a purpose on everything.

Against All Odds -- Mariah Carey's Version

How can I just let you walk away
Just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking
Every breath with you
You’re the only one
Who really knew me at all
How can you just walk away from me
When all I can do is watch you leave
’cause we’ve shared the laughter and the pain
And even shared the tears
You’re the only one
Who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now
Oh there’s just an empty space
And there’s nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now
’cause there’s just an empty space
And you coming back to me is against all odds
And that’s what I’ve got to face

I wish I could just make you turn around
Turn around and see me cry
There’s so much I need to say to you
So many reasons why
You’re the only one
Who really knew me at all

So take a look at me now
’cause there’s just an empty space
And there’s nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now
’cause there’s just an empty space
But to wait for you is
All I can do
And that’s what I’ve got to face
Take a good look at me now
’cause l’ll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
That’s the chance I’ve got to take

Take a look at me now

Watch Lover

Are you fond of watches? Well, I am, I mean, I was. I had a collection of watches before that fits whatever I wear on a particular day. I have a "girly" watch, a sporty watch, and a watch that suits for business attire. I was even planning to buy a Technomarine watch for diving, but, before I could enroll to diving lessons, I freaked out hearing stories about broken eardrums when you can't control your breathing down under.

Now, I am contented with this cute watch I am wearing everyday.

Bad Day

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to gray
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time
And I don't need no carryin' on

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Will you need a blue sky holiday?
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Canadian Dream

For the past years there, were many Filipinos who migrated to Canada to look for greener pastures. Some of my cousins and friends are also now in Canada as a skilled workers too. My sister also launched their application for migration in Canada sometimes last year, and they are now waiting for the result. Hopefully, results will come out this year.

So, what's really in Canada that encouraged people to migrate? According to Wikipedia, Canada is one of the world's wealthiest nations and is one of the few developed nations that are net exporters of energy.

Looking at Now Hiring Canada website, one of the biggest site for job seekers and employers alike, I would say that they were lots of job opportunities to both locals and immigrants. For job seekers, you can easily search jobs by location, by job categories and by job types. Or, if not, you have the option to let employers find you by uploading your resume and showcase your skills. And for employers, they can easily look for the best candidate that fits their requirements from the pool of job seekers.

So, if you’re in one of the wealthiest country like Canada, better grab the opportunities the country has to offer and be the best in whatever you are doing.

OK! is super Ok

I always love to read OK! Magazine and once I get hold a copy of it, expect that I will be glued scanning and reading the magazine. Thanks to Cating and to her sister who is a regular subscriber of this magazine, I am now updated to latest Hollywood news.

I just love to see the stunning stars in their gown and even those pregnant stars like Jennifer Lopez looked gorgeous in her maternity clothing! I also love the section “Who Wore It Better” where they compare two stars that wore same dress (in different occasions of course) and choose who wore it best.

So, if want to know what I am talking about, grab an OK magazine and I am sure, you will enjoy. Thank you, ting!

Maybe we could prepare food at home, exchange warm greeting, and not to mention, exchanging gifts! So, those who will be joining me with the exchanging gift, my wishlist is either a Nike or a Converse shoes, size 5. You can buy this online if you want, and you can use some promo codes from Coupon Chief so that you can get big discounts and savings.

What about you, what's your wish list? :)
