For Job Seekers and Employers

One good thing with both job hunters and employers nowadays is that they can both find what they are looking for online. Gone are the days when job seekers have to hop from one company to another just to submit their resumes. One day will surely be not enough and you have to be sure that you have enough allowance too for your daily fare. Employers too need not to wait for days, weeks and months just to gather resumes and wait for the right person for the job. But since there's already a site for job seekers and employers like Monster, both can save not only money, but time too.

Job seekers can upload their resume online, be updated on job postings from different employers, can readily search jobs in different companies, check for company profile in just few clicks in the comfort of your home (or internet cafes). In just few minutes or hours, you will now be exposed to hundreds of employers. You can also ask career advices from experts and even concerning law issues.

For employers, they can now hire people that they think the best for the position. You can post a job, create a company profile to make your company visible attractive to job seekers. You can also search for resumes and easily manage candidates. With the hundreds of resumes available at Monster, employers can buy bulk resumes and choose the best qualified people from it. And because Monster has been in the business for years already, they already know what works and what is the best solutions and services they can offer to ensure they deliver measurable return on investment in each company. Monster solutions can also share their expertise on best management practices like having team building, team negotiating and employee management to be specific.

Aren’t you just happy to have sites like this?

A Little Respect

I just heard "A Little Respect" by Wheatus awhile ago, and hearing it brings back college memories. I haven't heard of the song for quite awhile now and I still love the it! The lyrics of the song doesn't mean anything to me, it's just that the song was in my playlist before, and I usually played it when I am alone, nagbinuntagay kay naghimo ug project. I think I am the type of person who can work with a little noise in the background. I'd rather hear those kind of songs than hearing some creepy noise from somewhere. Hehehe.

"A Little Respect"

I tried to discover a little something to make me sweeter
Oh baby refrain from breaking my heart
I'm so in love with you
I'll be forever blue
That you give me no reason, you know you're making me work so hard
That you give me no . . . Soul
I hear you calling
Oh baby please give a little respect to me.

And if I should falter, would you open your arms out to me?
We can make love not war, and live in peace with our hearts
I'm so in love with you, I'll be forever blue
What religion or reason could drive a man to forsake his lover?
Don't you tell me no. . . Soul.
I hear you calling
Oh baby please, give a little respect to me.

I'm so in love with you
I'll be forever blue
That you give me no reason
You know you're making me work so hard
That you give me no. Soul.
I hear you calling.
Oh baby, please give a little respect to me.
Oh baby, please give a little respect to me.

Time To Move My Butt

I know I am complaining about my increasing weight. Yes, by next week, (or month) I have to hit the gym. Enough of my tardiness. But, in fairness, I was really busy (excuses!). I am also thinking of Yoga, but, I still have to read more about Yoga. Or else, I will go for lap band Houston to kill all these fats! Hahah! Time to eat healthy, and live healthy! Aja! :D

Ugly Duckling

I just feel so ugly these past days. I believe that everyone can feel good and beautiful with themselves, and everyday, I want to feel beautiful too(ala Gretchen Barreto nga beauty). But, these days, I just feel like an ugly duckling. I just want to crawl up in bed, stay in my room and watch movies, or just face my laptop every second of the day. I need that energy, that drive to face each day with much hope and enthusiasm again. Or, maybe, I just need a good air. Maybe, I am just overwork. (as if! ) Maybe, a visit to the salon, the gym, and going home by weekend will be a good step for me.

Enough. Back to work.

Stars Behaving Badly

I feel sorry sometimes to stars that now become alcoholic and drug addict like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan? What happen to these two? I am really a great fan of Britney before on her singing and dancing skills. For me, she's an A1 performer who can really own the stage once she performs. And do you remember the movie about a twin who were separated? (what's the title again? ) who is played by Linday Lohan. Isn't she adorable in the movie? And looking at them right now, I pity them because they wasted a lot of opportunities in this lifetime.

I know that these two experienced going inside a rehab, probably in some Alcohol Rehab Malibu. And hopefully, they will also help themselves since these rehabilitation centers will not be very effective if they are not going to be cooperative in the entire course of the treatment. These rehabilitation centers help adults who are not only suffering from alcoholism, but also drug addiction, eating disorders, depression and the like. Yes, we might think that actors and actresses are the happiest people on earth with fame and wealth on their side, but the truth is, a lot of them suffered from depression. Weird, isn't it?

Random, random, random

I am getting sad for no reasons lately... I mean, I became a sentimental fool listening to songs, remembering things from the past, thinking about my dreams, my wishes, my unplanned future... pretty much everything! I missed writing nonsense post here, I miss being being worry-free, I miss a lot of things. Haay.

---

I've been listening to Taylor Swift's album and the song Bubbly by Colbie Caillat, and Mandy Moore's Umbrella. Those type of music just simply make my day.

---

To all my readers, (as if naa ba) for the nth time, I am sorry for those posts that probably annoyed you. I hope you will all understand. :)

---

I am going home, I am getting crazy debugging and tracing the code. Syeet. Tomorrow, I mean later, will be another exciting day for me.

Good morning, world!

Wedding Year

I know a lot of couples are getting married this year especially that this year is said to be lucky in Chinese since it ends with the number 8. And what more for the date August 8, 2008, having triple 8? For sure, all churches and hotels this year have a lot of bookings for such event. And me? I am just happy to be invited for the wedding, and eat. Hahaha!! Joke!

A lot of friends I know are having their honeymoon outside the country. I think one of the romantic places in the world for me (though I have lots in my list) is Ireland. You can go to Ireland and look for a romantic Ireland Hotels, or specifically, look for Dublin Hotels, Cork Hotels, and Belfast Hotels. So, you will ask, why Ireland? You will surely feel being a queen or a king there especially that there are lots of castles there. Remember the Braveheart movie? It was actually filmed in one of the castles there. I just really find the place romantic, with a touch of fairytales romance. The hotels there will definitely give a king and queen treatment.

Dunluce Castle

So, if you are planning for your honeymoon, why not try Ireland? :)

Precious Metals As Investments

I never thought that gold or silver can be a very good investment. Well, it's not that I can afford to buy a bullion of these metals, but I just found the article that I read in the net interesting. With market uncertainty, (like stocks declined in value or the declining performance of dollar) , price of gold or silver still increases, which makes it a very good investment. Buying of gold is not only the best ways to preserve your wealth, but, it also one of the safest even in times of war and uncertainty. So, if you are thinking on where to invest your money, why not try buying one of these metals?

A Glimpse of Miss Saigon

It will be forever my dream to watch Miss Saigon LIVE on theater. I just get myself satisfied with listening to Miss Saigon songs and just an hour ago, watching video of the Making of Miss Saigon that was posted in YouTube . It lasted for an hour, watching those chopped videos in the Internet. It feels being part of the production team (exagg!) , but really, everything amazed me. From the preparation period, the audition, rehearsals, and of course, the show itself, though the video just showed a small part of it. Swerteha sa mga nakatan-aw ani oi! Haaay..

The line-up of songs are perfect, and so as Lea Salonga (I'm a great fan!) playing Kim.

By the way, have you seen Lea's audition for Miss Saigon? Try to search it in YouTube. I can watch it over and and over again, and listen to the songs forever.

Starting A Business?

I know a lot of people who are starting for a business and I know how much money you have to shell out once you are still on that stage. You will not make a good businessman if you don't take a risk. One of the things that you will consider in a start-up business is you need to market your business. You can promote it in print ads, television, or join business conference and mingle with other people and talk about your business. On those kinds of events, you can surely bump to some prospects business partners or even prospects customers. And number one rule when you will attend in these kinds of events is that you have to have your own business cards with you.

In case you don't have one and very hesitant to spend for your business card, there's a site that offers a free business cards. They offer 250 cards for free, and I think it's more than enough for you to start your business rolling. There are lots of templates available on their site that you can customize.

These might be a small item only on you list of to-do’s in starting up a business, but, you should not take this for granted since you will never know that it will take your business far.

Richest in the World

I browsed the Forbes site and check the list of the "Richest Man In The World". And of course, you have there Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Carlos Slim Helu as the top 3. I just wonder if these people are truly happy with all the material things they want in the world. No doubt, these people are very lucky not to experience financial difficulties in their lives. With all the things they got, I hope they are not missing some other important things in life. :)

Ref Magnets

I am a collector of refrigerator magnets and yes, my ref is now crowded (not the inside, though, heheh). Sometimes, I wonder on who first thought of that idea as a souvenir item, well, I commend him/her. Those magnets are not only used as souvenirs these days, but there are business card magnets already available that are used to promote different businesses. Through this kind of promotional items, your business name and your contact info will always be available always in front of your customers and it will stay their longer compare to other promotional item. (Like magazines or flyers perhaps) So, what do you think of the idea?? Well, I just thought that this is more than a brilliant!

The nice thing with this business card magnets is that you can create your own design from scratch and you can include your own logo, and the contact details of you business, or you have the option to customize the templates that are available, if you are not that confident enough to create one of your own. Either way, I think it will be fine.

So if you think it's a great idea (like how I feel about it), then you'd better give it a try, and see positive results in your business performance. And hey, don't forget to give me one! :)

But, better early than late! :D And my entry this week is a telephone that was used years ago ( No idea how many years ago. Hehehe) Just take a look, and probably, you can tell. Hehehe. This is actually a collection and a unique decoration in one of the bars here in Cebu.

My friend, playing around the telephone. She probably received a shocking news. Hehehe.

And that's me, receiving a bad news. Ahihi.

Another Travel Plans

Seeing a one-peso fare from Cebu Pacific for their Cebu-Taipei trip, Cating and I were tempted to book a flight. But, good thing, we immediately came to our senses before we enter our credit card details, book online and fly. We told ourselves that first, we have to go to Hongkong, and after that, a Europe tour probably, and then an Alaska cruise tour! And hopefully, those 3 destinations will happen anytime this year. For the meantime, we are are really working hard and save as much as we could (like staying away from malls and dieting) before these days will come. And not to mention, I want to go to Bora too. Aww.. my feet is now itching.

I thought I will not be blogging today because I am tired, walang gana, and even wanted to go home early and just curl-up in my bed. But, since money is knocking, I can't just say no to such opportunity especially that I will be paying a lot of bills the coming months. Bonding Moment

Bonded with my old time friend today, and as usual, time is not enough for all our long talks, but we managed to maximize our time and have fun. I haven't seen her for about 3 years already, since she was busy with her nursing studies. And now that she already graduated her BS degree in nursing with high grades and after doing the entire medical training requirement, she is now waiting for the nursing board exam result next month and probably go to NZ for greener pastures.

I was there with her years ago when she was still in doubt if she will take the nursing course since it will be her second BS course. And now, seeing her excel in this medical field, I know she is happier now, and more determined and i feel that she belongs to where she is now. I am just so happy for her.

Thank you for the day cel, and hope to see you one of these days again.

Relocating?

Relocating from one place to another is very tiring, especially that you have to consider a lot of things. Have you think how easy life can be if only someone will do things for you like looking for the best house for you, giving you options depending on your standards and the only thing you will do is just decide? And I know you don't want to waste your time too on all those paperworks. Just like the experienced North Fork real estate agents who will do everything that I mention above, I can only wish that they exist in our place too. Or, who knows, that someday, I will be relocating somewhere in New York City? :)

He was found dead in his New York apartment last Tuesday afternoon(New York time). As of writing, the cause of his death is still under investigation, though there were speculations that he took his own life. (hope this is not true! )

Safety First

I just had a talk with my sister in Manila over the phone last night and she told me that someone broke their glass window the other day, and she was just worried about the security of their home right now especially that there's no man in the house. She already reported it to the house owner, and the owner told them that they will change the broken glass immediately.

Safety is a big thing and a big issue every time, that's why, a lot of people are now availing home security and Homeowners Insurance. If this is what it takes to have a safe and sound sleep, then, why not?

Thinking for a Perfect Gift?

I know that thinking for a gift is a pain sometimes, especially that you want to give not just any other gifts, but, something unique, useful, personalized and perfect for the person. If you are an artist, I don't think that you will have difficulty in looking for one. Expressing your artistic nature in your present is the best thing that you can give, and here's one brilliant suggestion, (naks!): try Tshirt Printing, and I am sure, you will enjoy preparing for your gift, and you will be excited in giving your gift (like what I always feel ).

The nice thing with this idea is that you can design tshirts online, or, upload your piece of work, and preview your tshirt so that you can check what it looks like if it will be printed and you can also check what tshirt color will be best for your design. You will just then choose your shirt style, the color, and size, and then, everything will be set. Isn't it cool? If only I am an artist, I will give all my friends my work of art through tshirts. But to my artist friends, I will absolutely love to receive gifts like this. Heheh. I wish!

Fireworks Galore

My first time to take a pic of fireworks in my DSLR, and it was also my first time to use my tripod. Hehehe. The result was not that really impressive I guess, but, nevertheless, for a first timer like me, I am happy with what I took. I am glad that Cating really encouraged me to bring my SLR during Sinulog fireworks display in Ayala. I was really hesitant at first to bring my cam since it was raining, but, fireworks display does not happen every night, so, I was pretty convinced that I will bring one. So, here's some of my shots during the event:

Actually, I used different settings, as I experimented for the right mix of shutter speed, ISO, aperture, etc... Some, I just copied from what they advised in the net. If only, fireworks display will be every night, I will be expert in shooting one. Hehehe.

I am also interested to try slik tripods for my cam since I got my tripod for free when I bought my cam and it was just so-so. I'm gonna check 'em out and see if the specs are ok. The slik tripod has a maximum height of 64.96 inches and a maximum weight of 4.4 lbs. Though I am in tight budget now, so, maybe I can wait for my birthday. Will someone give me a slik tripod for my birthday? :D Hehehe.

Now, I am waiting for the next fireworks display. :)

One Fun Night

I had a fun night last night with some friends playing for the first time in a casino. At first, it was really scary to bet even if I am not using my own money. Though it came to a point that our funds started to sink, but, later on, luck was on our side. I bet either on 2 reds or 2 whites only (what's the name of the game? I dunno. Hehehe. ). At the end of the day, we did not lose, but, we did not win either... but we had so much fun.

I am also interested in slot machines, but I don't understand how to play it yet. I browsed around over the net about slot machines, and found out about progressive slots. These kinds of slot machines offer jackpots that if you will be lucky enough, it will surely be an enormous happening in your life. Now, I wanna try one of those!!

For me, there’s nothing wrong in playing, or betting, as long as you know when to stop.

Dreaming of NZ

If there's a romantic place other than Europe that I want to visit, it will be New Zealand. Based on what I have read about New Zealand, I just find the place very relaxing with it's natural scenery. Among the cities that I want to visit are the following: Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington and stay on the best New Zealand Hotels.

Actually, one of the reason why I wanted to visit Auckland is that some of my friends are there. They are actually thrilled when I emailed to them that I might be going there someday, if budget permits. They just can't wait for that time to happen that they offer me a free stay and made me choose on all Auckland Hotels. Lucky me to have friends like them.

And why Wellington? Seeing the night panorama of the city centre that is taken for Mt Victoria made me fall in love with the place. I just imagined being there, staying in one of the best Wellington Hotels, and just roaming around the city.

And the last but not the least, Christchurch, the city Garden. Need I say more on why I want to go there? I just want to see in my very eye those lovely flowers with different colors. Look for pictures in the net, and you will see what I mean. And of course at the best Christchurch hotels.

I just hope that all these dreams will come into reality any time in the future. :)

Music Geek

I can't live without music in my life, and one proof of that is my collection of mp3, my mp3 player, my speaker, and my iPod. I am planning to have a clean-up with my mp3s one of these days since I noticed that they were lots of less quality mp3s in my playlist, that even you have your speaker or headphones on a full blast mode, it's still has a very quiet sound. So, from now on, only high quality mp3s will be collected.

Well, I don't blame it all on my mp3s. Sometimes, my headphones just sucked. I am planning to buy a shure headphones since I've read a lot of positive comments about them. One of the feedback I heard is that it delivers precise mid, treble range, and full-sounding, evebly balanced bass. Now, I can't wait to hold one of these shure headphones. Anyone used these shure headphones? Testimonials are very welcome before I will buy one. :)

Cheers to music, and cheers to life!

Keeping In Touch

I am just amazed on how my friends can still nurture the friendship even if they are not here. I just received an international call the other day from a friend whom I haven't talked for quite sometime already. I was so happy to hear from her that I kept talking and talking until I realized that it was an international call. But, she told me not to worry since she used a phone card from 3longdistance and it was just cheap using their service in calling here in the Philippines from the US. She can buy as many calling cards as she wants as long as she can just talk to people from home. Well, I can just feel her agony to be away from her loved ones, and I am glad, services like this help us closer even if she is far away.

Scribbling Some More on a Saturday Night

Ok, it's a Saturday night, and not just any ordinary Saturday night since Sinulog festival is really on the air, but still, I am here still facing my laptop and making money. Opportunities knock only sometimes, and I have to take this once in a blue moon chance.

If you will notice, I have some slight change in my layout today... I changed the coffee theme, to pens theme, and of course, with my name with it. Ka conceited! Hahaha!! But I love it! I love it!

With all the "work-mode-attitude" I have these past days, I still have time for my favorite past times:

1. Watch my favorite kapamilya shows - Even at work, we can still watch TV. Before, I used to watch PBB, but, since it was already over, I watch Kris Aquino's new game show wheel of fortune, Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara and Maging Sino Ka Man. Certified Kapamily to! Hehehe.

2. Play Zuma - Now, I get addicted on this game. Try to install one in your PC and you will see how addicted it can be.

3. Watch DVDs - I still have lots of dvds to watch at home after buying 3 16 in 1 dvds. I always get excited when I go home since I watch one movie before going to sleep.

Pit Senyor, everyone!

Review: Bad Credit Offers

Don't you agree that it's just so nice that some institutions offers bad credit loans that could save us from financial difficulties? Whether it is emergency money that you need, or a big time project for the family, getting a loan is very much helpful, indeed.

Getting a loan has many categories, and that included credit cards which became necessary to most of people now which can be used not only for the sake of getting a loan, but also for convenience; home loans, auto loans, personal loans, credit report and score, and credit repair. You may want to evaluate your first your needs so that you can choose which one of the categories is best fitted for you. And when you have all the necessary requirements with you, after browsing each category online, you can easily compare the features and details on each category and you can immediately apply online after. What a convenient, fast and safe way in getting a loan.

My Dream Vacation

I've been going around the country ever since I earned my own money. Traveling excites me and inspired me to work more, and save more, so that I can travel more. I don't limit my horizons in my own country, and it will be forever a dream for me to travel around the world. First, I wanna travel in the nearby countries, like Singapore and Hongkong. And then, farther, and farther, like the US and to my ultimate dream vacation... Europe!

Speaking of Europe, here are some of the a-must-see and go places for me. In Italy, I wanna go to Venice (St.Mark's Basilica) and Florence and go around the famous museums and of course the sistene chapel and stay in one of the best Italy hotels, or stay in the romantic Venice hotels. In Rome, I wanna go to the Vatican, the Coliseum, and the Trevi Fountain. I can say that Europeans are just very talented seeing their sculptures and painting, even if it's just in movies or pictures. And I dream of staying in one of the best Rome hotels, the Grand De La Minerva Hotel Rome. Before I forget, I wanna go to Milan (remember the movie, Milan?) too and visit Leonardo da Vinci Museum and stay in a luxurious Milan hotels.

Ok, there you go... my Euro-tour! (in my dreams! ) Europe is no doubt the most beautiful place in the world! I wanna share this line that I bumped somewhere while browsing some stuffs about Europe: "Kisses in Paris, Gondola ride in Venice, bottles of Wine in Florence and triumph in Rome" .. Perfect! :)

Keeping In Touch

I have many loved ones abroad, and not to mention, my sis just flew to Singapore just the other day, and I really make sure that I keep in touch with them by chatting online, texting, and most importantly, calling them. I am sure, they are all home sick while staying in a foreign lands, and I miss them too. Good thing, phone cards are available now that helps us save us in long distance bills. Isn't it nice to talk over the phone, without worrying for the bill?

My cousins in the States are using Candy Phone Cards in calling us here in the Philippines. For almost one hour of talking over the phone, they only spend 3usd for that. It really feels that they are just near, since they give us a call almost everyday.

Managing Networks

One of the concerns of the System Administrators is on how to manage system continuously and securely. But, would it be nice that the solution with persistent connectivity will not rely on the network? That's what you call security management. So, how would this be possible? If network is up, then, we do not have a problem. But, then, when network connection is lost, it should immediately establishes remote connectivity using a dial-up modem, cellular network, or satellite communications.

Growing Up, Growing Old

A lot of things really change as time goes by. Before, my friends and I would talk about grades, a simple love life problem, and some things that concern our very young mind. Now, that we are older, our talks will generally be about "What Is Life", about our different careers, about getting married and having a family of our own. Our topics of concerns are very different now. And aside from that, we are not as party-goer as before (we go out and drink in consecutive days before. Hehehe)

My mind explored on me getting old, with gray hair, and hopefully, with grand children of my own. Hehehe. Sometimes, made me wonder on who will take care of me on those times, but, I think a nursing homes will be fine, together with my old friends too. Hahaha!!

Speaking of nursing homes, I think it's a good venue for old people especially that they offer professional care for your health.

Emergency Money?

In need of an emergency cash but have a difficulty where to get one? I for sure is very hesitant to borrow money from friends. I have to look for ways and means and do my best in securing cash before I resort to borrowing from friends. Good thing, cash advance and payday loan are now available to consumers who need fast money. You can actually apply online and have all the privacy that you need at home. Processing also takes faster, which is very important since you need the money as soon as possible. Another advantage also is they will not check your credit history, so, you will really have a big possibility that your application will be approved.

So, as long as you have all the requirements needed, and pass the qualification for you to have loans, you will not have a problem in getting quick cash. Once approved, all you need to do is be responsible in paying your monthly dues so as not to have extra charges.

National Finals Rodeo

Before, I can't understand why a lot of people loves to watch Rodeo until such I found videos and read articles about it. Well, it was interesting. I also have a friend who doesn't miss every National Finals Rodeo and the last one he saw was just last December. He worked hard and saved a lot of money for his trip to Las Vegas and for his Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets. Not only that, he always reserved the best seat available. Now, that's what you call a great NFR fan!

It's really quite amazing how these cowboys showcased their skills for that game.. Is it a game? Or a sport? Hmm.. I don't know. All I know is I am learning little by little about it by reading and by some of my rodeo fanatic friends. For sure, it takes a lot of practice and patience and some great technique in calf roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding and team roping.

I know I still have a lot to know about it, and really, I am starting to be more interested about it. So, who knows, you will see me in Vegas someday, and I will be at the front row for the National Finals Rodeo? Hehehe. Dream on, girl!
